LAST week's appeal from pensioner and former Leigh factory girl Amy Jones to borrow a copy of the 50's film "Hindle Wakes" has paid off.
Amy is now in possession of a copy of the film loaned by nostalgia fan Harold Fairhurst, of Atherton, who had the foresight to tape the film when it was shown on TV a couple of years ago. Thanks to him and to other fans who took the trouble to offer their assistance.
