BLACKBURN with Darwen Council has organised a series of craft activities to keep children in Darwen amused during their half-term break from school next week.
All the events will take place at the Sunnyhurst Wood visitor centre from Monday, October 27, until Sunday, November 1.
A mask workshop will be held between 10am and 12.30pm, on the Monday, followed by a clay workshop from 1.30pm to 4pm, where the youngsters will be shown how to make wind chimes.
They will use photography and digital images during a collage workshop, which will be held on the Wednesday, between 10am and 4pm.
And on Friday, October 31, between 10am and 4pm, a group sculpture project and tree dressing will take place.
David Herrity, a representative from the Blackburn and Darwen Wood Carvers, will present Wacky Wood wood-turning on Saturday, November 1, and on Sunday, November 2, between 1pm and 4pm.
Those people attending the all-day events at Sunnyhurst Wood should take a packed lunch and warm clothing.
