SKATE park users are to be asked their views on the future of outdoor facilities for youngsters in the borough.
A skate park aimed at keeping skaters out of the town centre opened in Burnley's Queen's Park earlier this year and the council have now set up a forum to get feedback and plan future developments.
The first meeting of the new group will be held at the Mechanics Theatre at 4.30pm on Wednesday and is open to all users of the park.
The park has been designed for skateboarders, BMX bikers and in-line skaters who can all use the purpose-built site, which includes specially-constructed ramps, grindrails and driveways. It was developed as part of the Teenzone project, a scheme funded by European cash to provide facilities for youngsters.
Burnley Council's parks development manager, park ranger and youth outreach ranger will all be at this week's meeting.
Development manager Aaron Callaghan, said: "We want to hear the views of park users. Any young people wanting to discuss issues relating to the skate park or future development opportunities for outdoor recreation should come to the meeting."
Anyone who cannot attend can call 01282 664601 or e-mail on acallaghan@burnley.gov.uk.
