JACK Robinson, Blackburn district secretary with the Transport and General Workers union, called for a public inquiry into the reasons why a number of staff had left corporation transport over a five year period.
He said there must be some reason for it whether that be rates of pay, conditions or someone not handling the staff properly. This came after Blackburn's bus men left their vehicles to go on strike the previous day.
