A DAVID Grimes goal 10 minutes from time gave Astley a 3-2 Under 16s Cup quarter-final victory over Bedford Rangers.
Michael Cheetham put Astley in front before Robert Foxen extended the lead. After the break Bedford hit back with goals from Luke Sylvster and Danny Ryan to set up a barnstroming finish.
With extra time looming, Grimes hit the winner to send Astley into the semi-final.
Man of the match for Astley was Brent Slater with Dominic Horrocks the star man for Bedford.
