Widnes St Maries 26 v Leigh MR 24: FOR a second week running Leigh Miners Rangers u11's lost a match that they should have easily won.

The first half display was full of poor ball control and missed tackles with Mikalauskas scoring the Rangers' solitary try as the team finished the first half trailing by 12 points to Widnes St Maries.

The half time team talk seemed to do the trick as the Rangers' second half performance was much better than the first.

Mikaluaskas scored two good tries to complete his hat-trick and these were followed up by tries from Walker and Gregory. Unfortunately though the Rangers players were still unable to complete their sets of six and turned the ball over when there were further try scoring opportunities on offer.

Although the second half try count was 4-2 in favour of the Rangers it still wasn't enough as the team lost 26-24.

On a positive note, Xenos and Ratcliffe put in solid displays and newcomer Haseldine put in an improved performance with Mikalauskas deservedly taking the MOM award.
