DATEN ladies 1st hockey team racked up four more goals to add to their total in a team performance against Newton Hyde on Saturday.

Passing and movement off the ball led to plenty of attempts on goal and the scoreline may have been more if it hadn't been for the skill of the opposition's keeper.

Daten carried a 3-0 lead at the halftime whistle but they sat back at little and Newton Hyde pulled two goals back. There were impressive performances by Katie Parr and Jayne Jackson in defence and Daten finished off with another stylish short corner goal to end the match 4-2.

Goals came from Corrine Hodge, Sacha Hateley, Debbie Holland and Beth Millman and player of the match went to Corrine Hodge.

Daten's U19sy echoed the success of the seniors with a 2-0 win over Chester. The team put together some excellent passes they went ahead from a well worked goal from Emily Lees in the first half.

Chester passed accurately but Daten seemed to be quick up to the ball to win back possession. The second goal came from Sacha Hateley. There were impressive performances from Katie Burton, Alison Chadwick and Siobhan Silcock. And the two latest addition to the team, Jenny Bailey and Sarah Lloyd slotted into the team with ease.
