A DANCE music duo has started to hit the big time
After more than three years of battling to make it as musicians, Paradise -- made up of Leigh barber Rob Grice and DJ Stuart Connor -- have had one of their songs placed onto a top-selling compilation album.
Their tune, Sunshine On A Cloudy Day, is on Clubland 4: The Night of Your Life, a CD which is topping the compilation album charts.
Rob -- who will earn about £18,000 in royalties from the deal -- is not ready to give up his hairdressing just yet but he is hoping this will be the springboard he needs.
He said: "It's taken a long time and it's sometimes been frustrating but things are starting to move now. I play my songs to some of the customers and they think they're great."
Paradise have played at Reuben's at Leigh and had chart positions on the MTV Undiscovered website.
But Rob said: "We really needed something like Clubland. It will help us a lot."
We have a copy of the CD up for grabs to the first person to drop a line to Newsdesk, Leigh Journal, 44/46 Railway Road, Leigh, WN7 4AT.
