DEVELOPERS have consulted residents on plans to build 65 homes on Volex's Pendle Mill site.
Bellway Homes are to submit a planning application within the next two weeks to Wigan Council and organised a public exhibition in Eastleigh Labour Club last night (Wednesday) where the plans went on display.
They have also opened a community information line for those unable to attend.
Land director at Bellway, Chris Kershaw, said: "Consulting with local people is very important to us. The exhibition gave them the chance to view plans and discuss queries with our representatives."
The company plans to build 48 apartments and 17 town houses on the land currently owned by Volex and the purchase of the unused area of the site will provide the business with much needed income.
The community information line for residents with any questions to be answered is 0161 832 1038.
