I AGREE wholeheartedly with Andy Neild's call for video referees. They use this system very effectively in American football, and despite the fact that it takes a minute or two to review the video, the fact that they come up with a proper decision makes it worth it.
Especially in the modern game, where a bad decision can potentially cost a club millions of pounds, the advantages of video replay are overwhelming.
In order to prevent over-zealous challenging of the referees decisions, each bad challenge could lead to the loss of a substitution (in American football bad challenges lead similarly to loss of a time-out).
I think that the time for video replay is long overdue.
