A PRIMARY school is buzzing following an excellent Ofsted report.
Government inspectors who were at St Catherine of Siena RC, Lowton, during summer have nothing but praise for the 210 pupil Cranham Avenue school.
Head teacher Mrs Liz Connolly said: "Everyone involved with the school is delighted. We always liked to think our lessons buzz with excitement but now it's official.
"Our last report was in 1998 and since then we have taken Ofsted's advice on board and I have been lucky enough to work with colleagues who are dedicated to seeing our children perform to the very best of their abilities.
"This glowing report is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with St Catherine's."
The inspectors report said: "High quality teaching drives the learning forward. Creativity and liveliness are key features of teaching, married with productivity and an air of not-a-moment-to-lose.
"There is a buzz to many lessons which engages the pupils who show curiosity and enquiry."
Mrs Connolly was acknowledged for her exceptional leadership, staff for their positive impact on standards and the governors for actively shaping the school's work.
