FATHER Christmas has been given a ticking off by police following his arrest at the weekend.
A 17-year-old youth was detained by Gigg Lane stewards after he invaded the pitch during Saturday's derby between Bury and Rochdale. The teenager was one of a number of away fans who turned up for the match wearing Santa outfits.
He was charged with pitch invasion but he has since been cautioned for his behaviour.
