A 39-YEAR-OLD man threatened to jump from the roof of town centre premises in Atherton in the early hours of last Friday.
Police were called to the premises in Market Street shortly after 3am. The road and adjacent Church Street were closed while officers tried to persuade the man to come down from the roof. He eventually came down of his own accord at about 7am.
