A CONCERT is planned to raise funds to help two autistic children make a splash with dolphins in Florida.
Katie McIntosh (5), of Scobell Street, Tottington, suffers from autism and her story has featured in the Bury Times. She has two brothers, one of whom also suffers from the condition.
The money raised from the Lancashire Night will help Katie and her family travel to the USA to swim with dolphins and have a holiday to remember.
There are also hopes that a support group will be set up locally to cater for autistic children.
The Lancashire Night, organised jointly by Bury Lions and Peel Lions, is at Walshaw Sports Club in Sycamore Road, Tottington, on Friday, February 6, beginning at 7.30pm.
Local group Harmony will be performing and the money raised will go to the Katie McIntosh Appeal.
Tickets for event cost £5 and include a "tater-pie" supper. They are available from any Lions member or by ringing 0161 797 4630 or 0161 761 7302.
