A 19-YEAR-OLD woman has been charged with the murder of her ex-boyfriend.

Kelly Hyslop, whose family live in Parker Street, Huncoat, will appear before Hyndburn magistrates today charged with killing Mohammed Nadeem.

Mr Nadeem, 28, was discovered dead with stab wounds at a house in Great Harwood on Friday night.

Police were called to the address in Commercial Road at 11pm and cordoned off the area around the house while a forensic science examination of the scene was carried out.

It is believed that Hyslop, who was no longer in a relationship with Mr Nadeem, had been staying at the terrace house, off Great Harwood's main road, with another man for some time. Hyslop was arrested in connection with Mr Nadeem's death and charged with the offence on Saturday night.

Inspector Russ Morgan said: "After police investigation and interviews a 19-year-old local female has been charged with the murder of Mr Mohammed Nadeem and will appear before Hyndburn magistrates."

A neighbour of Mr Nadeem, who lived in Steiner Street, Accrington, with his family, said relatives and friends from across the country had travelled to the town to pay their respects.

Mr Nadeem's brother Nabil said the family was very upset and that it was too early to speak about the death.
