NIGEL Evans heads the list of East Lancashire MPs to declare their interests at Westminster with three trips abroad -- one to see the launch of a satellite.

The Ribble Valley Tory declares ownership of a retail convenience store in his home town of Swansea.

But in the new Register of MPs Interests up to January 31, 2004 he also declares a trip to the Falkland Islands in February 2003 as a guest of the island's government who provided flights and accommodation, travel and accommodation to the United States to see the launch of a satellite paid for by the Astrium Consortium.

It also shows a trip between September 23 and October 3 to India with the Conservative Friends of India to discuss economic and political issues on international development and security in Kashmir. Travel and accommodation were paid for by the Indian government.

Chorley Labour MP Lindsay Hoyle declared ownership of a commercial property at Adlington in his constituency from which he received rental income and a shareholding in Screen Arts Limited, a screen printing company.

He also declared two overseas visits to Gibraltar paid for by the government of The Rock.

In November 2002 he observed the referendum called by the government of Gibraltar against the wishes of the British government on whether the island wished to stay British and in September last year he was part of a Parliamentary delegation for Gibraltar's National Day.

Burnley MP Peter Pike declared season tickets and hospitality for home games at Turf Moor provided by Burnley Football Club and a visit in May last year to South Africa where air fares were paid for by the Penny Trust.

Hyndburn MP Greg Pope, Pendle MP Gordon Prentice, Rossendale and Darwen MP Janet Anderson and Blackburn MP and Foreign Secretary Jack Straw all made nil returns.
