JOHN Cowburn, 46, of Jack Keys Drive, Darwen, will walk 100 miles non-stop walk around Exmoor next month to raise money for the bursary scheme at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Blackburn.
John, whose son attends the school, belongs to the Long Distance Walkers' Association and will be among 500 entrants trying to cover the distance in less than 48 hours. The chartered engineer wants to enable more boys and girls to take advantage of the opportunities of an education at the school.
