HORSE riders from the Darwen area will be advising motorists at the weekend of the safety procedures they should undertake when driving near horses.
Tracy McCluskey, of the North Bolton and Darwen District Bridleways Group, will be accompanied by other equestrians and two horses,
They will be in Darwen town centre on Saturday, between 9.45am and 12.30pm. She will be giving out information leaflets in Bridge Street which will advise motorists how to drive more carefully around horses. Tracy said: "We haven't many bridleways so we have to use the roads a lot. The British Horse Society has given us leaflets."
