THE deadline for picking up a discounted Bury FC season ticket has been put back to Saturday, May 8.

The date coincides with the club's final league game of the season when they entertain Macclesfield Town at Gigg Lane.

Club officials report that the level of sales so far is very similar to last year, and they hope that by extending the discount period more fans will take advantage of the saving, while helping the club raise vital funds to get it through the summer.

And there are attractive discounts for supporters who dip their hands into their pockets early.

There has been a slight price increase from last season, the first for a number of years, but nevertheless the rises have been kept to a minimum and club officials are keen for as many fans as possible to renew.

Prices are currently as follows: (Prices after May 8 in brackets): South, East, Main Stand tickets (blocks A to D): adult £248 (£290); Junior £90 (£100); Senior Citizen £90 (£100); Lifeline member £210 (£240); Student £150 (unchanged); Person with disability £90 (£100).

Family Stand tickets (Main Stand blocks G to J): Adult £235 (£275); Junior £25 (unchanged); Senior Citizen £90 (£100); Lifeline £180 (£210).

Executive Club: Adult £520 (£560); Junior £350 (£400); Senior Citizen £350 (£400); Lifeline £480 (£520).

Boardroom Club: Adult £650 (£700); Junior £500 (£600); Senior Citizen £500 (£600); Lifeline £600 (£680).

A monthly payment scheme is in operation with 25 per cent of the cost to be paid over four consecutive months. This initiative involves a £10 administration fee.

Credit cards are no longer accepted for season tickets and 'memberships' no longer apply. Student ticket qualification requires production of a National Union of Students card.

Purchases can be made at the club's commercial offices on Gigg Lane during normal office hours.
