FIREBUGS are being blamed for starting a blaze which extensively damaged the bedroom of an unoccupied house.
Officers stopped the blaze from spreading at the house in Coniston Avenue, Whitefield, and used a high-powered fan to ventilate the building.
Crews from Whitefield and Broughton spent 90 minutes at the scene following the fire which happened at 5.30pm on Friday (April 16).
