COUNCILLOR Roy Walker's response (Letters, August 6) to the suspension of two members of his Conservative Group leaves me somewhat bemused.
He seems to be blaming everyone but the councillors involved.
Councillors Bibby and Taylor have not been found guilty of a serious breach of the Code of Conduct by the Labour Party, or any individual councillors, but by the Standards Board for England, an independent body specifically set up to deal with instances such as these.
Coun Walker's threats of reprisal and retaliation are really the politics of the playground, and the reaction of a man seemingly hell-bent on defending the indefensible.
He should accept the judgement with good grace.
