A TEENAGER who got behind the wheel while banned was spared jail but left court with a judge's warning ringing in his ears.
Burnley Magistrates Court had been told how Azizul Hoque, 18, who was disqualified for six months just two months ago, was put under pressure to drive less than a mile.
Hoque was given 100 hours' community punishment and banned for 12 months by Deputy District Judge Michael Singleton. The judge went on to tell Hoque his punishment should not be seen as a soft option and prison awaited if he flouted the order or did it again.
Hoque, of Belford Street, Burnley, admitted driving while disqualified and no insurance.
Paul Wood, defending, said Hoque was one of 12 children and his parents were paying money to the court and bailiffs for him.
