LANCASTRIAN RK Fitness First Team playing away to Cheetham Hill enjoyed a fairly comfortable start to the season winning four and losing one of the five rubbers.
Mike Carter won the first game 3-0 before Mark Taylor went down 3-2. Graham Collier ran out a comfortably a 3-1 winner before Tod Bulmer saw off a promising 13-year-old 3-1.The evening was wrapped up by Howard Thornley 3-0.
The second team lost by three games to two to Tame Valley. Dave Haines, Bob Morgan and Lynda Gregory all lost 3-0. Graham Draper won 3-1 and Mike Howard 3-0.
