Oulton Raiders 24 Leigh East 16: LEIGH East's up and down season continued as they went down at Oulton.
East's cause wasn't helped when prop Mike Whiteside was sent off on the hour.
Oulton had 10 points on the boards in as many minutes but East hit back with some clever play from Danny Kilshaw who created a try for Craig Graham, John Woods goaling.
Raiders increased their lead before East closed the gap to 14-10 at half time when Kilshaw again put winger Graham in for a try.
But East just couldn't close the gap and they fell further behind to another Oulton try and a penalty after Whiteside was red-carded for a high tackle.
East were far from finished, however, and Graham was awarded a penalty try when he was obstructed as he chased Kilshaw's kick ahead. Woods added the goal.
But when Oulton broke through again, the game was beyond East.
