A BALLOON which travelled from Leigh to North Yorkshire earned £100 for Mrs Teresa Smith of Yates Street, Leigh.
Out of over 600 balloons realesed at Leigh carnival hers travelled furthest. It landed at Helmsley, where its finder received £25. More than 30 ballooons were recovered, including 15 from Yorkshire and one which landed within a mile of the carnival site.
