ON his first day at the helm in Firs Lane Post Office in Wigan Road, Leigh new owner Abdul Jiva had to explain the business at The Sportsman junction definitely wasn't closing.
Mr Jiva said customers had read the Journal story about post office closures in the Leigh area and confused his Firs Lane Post Office Wigan Road office with Plank Lane Post Office half a mile away in Firs Lane which is under threat.
