CULCHETH WI is seeking volunteers to help and contributions for the open day in the Parish Hall on October 15.
Members congratulated Sybil Farnworth and her husband Roland on 55 years of marriage after they provided cake for tea.
Guest John Howard spoke on "More Lees than Cheshire Fleas", the story of the Lee family from Knutsford, which included tales of rogues as well as respectable members, royal occasions, pubs, horse dealing, suicide and alleged murder.
The next meeting will be on October 19 when Mrs Kathleen Lewis will give a talk entitled "Carry on Cruising".
