THE 12th Atherton Beavers and Cubs mixed badges with pleasure when they joined leaders and councillors in cleaning up the town as part of a Wigan Borough 30-day litter campaign.
As a result of helping to do their bit for the community the work has helped them towards winning their environmental badge.
Beaver leader Mark Aldred said: "The lads have done us proud. Beavers, Cubs and Scouts is not all about turning up one night a week to get together and enjoy ourselves. It is about working together to help local people and our area."
Parents with children between six and 16 who would like to meet in a safe, fun and friendly environment where they can learn personal skills, should contact Mark on 01942 895150 for further details.
