A HINDLEY Green School has received an outstanding Ofsted report.
Inspector Timothy Gill said the Thomas Street school was 'effective' with good achievement, leadership. The curriculum is good and teaching either good or satisfactory.
The school has made great strides since the last inspection, and pupils' achievement is now progressing across the board.
Mr Gill said: "The head teacher has built up a good dedicated team of key stage managers and staff who are very well motivated and doing the best they can for all the pupils."
The school is well managed and well governed.
Mr Gill also said: "Parents have a favourable view of the school and its provision and the pupils generally enjoy being at school."
Head Sue Bray is very pleased with the report which reflects the quality of the teaching and learning at Thomas Street, and the excellent relationships with parents and the wider community.
Governors ' chairman Stuart Shaw said: "This is a fantastic report and I'd like to pay tribute to the head and her colleagues, the governors, parents and children for helping to make this such a happy, successful school."
