THIS Saturday Boro entertain Shildon AFC in the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round, kick-off 3pm.

Shildon, currently 15th in the Northern Albany League, beat Woodley Sports 2-0 in their first round replay to set-up a first ever meeting between the two sides.

"It's an FA Cup tie, we're at home and we're really looking forward to it," said Glendon.

"I'll be very disappointed if we don't carry on with the level of performance we've produced recently, if we do that I'll be a happy man.

"I had a word with Woodley's manager Tony Hancock and he said they're a typical North East side, physical, strong and they'll be up for it, so we know what to expect."

Boro will be without Simon Kelly (suspended) and Davey Luker (calf strain), while Ciaran Kilheeney has returned to Droylsden United, which means Karl Marginson, Steve Spencer, Gary Sampson and Rory Patterson are all back in contention for a starting spot.

"This is a big game for us," added Glendon: "there'll be some good teams entering the next round and the prize money is very important.

"I'm not being big-headed but if we play like we played in the first half at Hyde we'll be okay."
