THE Office of Communications (OFCOM) has received four applications from companies wanting to set up a new radio station covering Blackburn, Burnley and Hyndburn.
The applications are Blackburn Broadcasting Company Ltd. (The Bee), based at Blakewater Road, Blackburn; Blackburn 2Day FM Ltd (2Day FM), High Street, Rishton; Bold FM Limited (Bold FM), Lord Square, Blackburn, and The Burn FM Limited (Burn FM), High Street, Blackburn.
The full applications for the Blackburn FM Independent Radio Licence are to be published on the Ofcom website www.ofcom.org.uk
Ofcom welcomes the views of the public about the local needs of listeners in this area and the type of service required.
