A NIGHTCLUB boss has vowed to work with parents and police to combat under age drinking and violence.
The announcement came just days after a 16-year-old girl was hit over the head by a bottle in the Heaven and Hell club, Lord Square, Blackburn.
A 17-year-old girl from Wilpshire was arrested shortly before midnight on Saturday on suspicion of causing minor injuries.
Andy Appleton, manager of Heaven and Hell, said: "We are doing everything we can to ensure the people who come to Heaven and Hell are over 18.
"But occasionally someone does slip through.
"We are determined now to work with the police, the local authorities and with parents to combat under-age people getting in the club. We want to be socially responsible and give our customers a safe and enjoyable night out. And we will be extra vigilant to address what is a constant issue for all night club managers. We are going to put a campaign together to address this problem further."
