PRESTWICH Tennis Club have finished the summer season on a high note, with several teams achieving league and cup success.
The Ladies B and Mens A teams have both been promoted as champions from the second division of the Manchester League and will both be playing in the top division next season, while the Mixed A team will be playing in the top division of the Oldham Mixed League, after also winning the second division title.
There with also triumphs in the Oldham Mixed League Division Two Cup, and the Manchester League Mixed Cup. In the Manchester League Ladies Doubles Tournament, Prestwich fielded both pairs in the final, with Viv Mills and Christine Bagnall the eventual victors over Sue Marcroft and Mandy Winskill.
There was also success at junior level, with Mark Allen and Greg Marcroft contesting the final of the Manchester League Under 17's competition, with Mark the eventual winner.
While Thomas Lau and Greg Marcroft won the Manchester League Under 17's doubles title.
