TORRENTIAL rain failed to dampen the spirits during a special Bury Lions fun day at the weekend.
The event was held in the town's Kay Gardens last Saturday and involved a host of attractions including a funfair roundabout and strongman machine.
Shoppers took time out to visit the event. And a total of £354 was raised which the Lions will distribute to worthwhile causes.
Another popular attraction was a raffle with a first prize of an hour's drive in a limo. The free ride was won by 17-year-olds Dean Oliviero and Adam Bailey.
