SOAP stars from Coronation Street and Emmerdale showed they were a sporting lot when they turned out to a charity dinner at The Bolholt Country Park Hotel in Bury.
The dinner was organised by Walshaw Sports Club to raise funds for their organisation and also Bury Cancer Support Centre, which offers free complementary treatment and emotional support for cancer patients.
Following a meal, a raffle and auction took place and guests were entertained by band Brassed Off.
Although money is still to be counted, organisers are confident they have raised in excess of £3,000.
