RAF veterans and Air Training Corps cadets represented all ages at a march and service to mark the 64th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
Members of the RAF Association Bury and District and youngsters attached to the town's Air Training Corps 1036 Squadron marched from the Town Hall to Bury Parish Church for the commemoration service.
Presiding were the Rector of Bury, the Rev Dr John Findon and the Rev Jon Beddington, honorary chaplain of the RAF Association Bury and District.
In his address, the Rev Beddington said: "When people say of the Battle of Britain 'that was in the past', let's look ahead, let us remember a serious lesson of life. We forget the past at our peril because when we forget the mistakes of the past, we tend to make those same tragic errors all over again. We must remember the past and learn the appropriate lessons from it."
