SISTERS Jayne Barrett and Cath Ellis are dancing for joy as their thriving and popular Warehouse Dance and Fitness Centre in a renovated old mill unit in Cobden Street, Bury, is celebrating its first birthday.
Jayne said: "Our centre has fast become a family place where mums and dads can exercise while their children take part in street dance and disco classes. We run on a pay-as-you-go scheme."
The sisters established Warehouse as their first joint business venture and run a full range of the latest exercise classes.
They have recently launched antenatal and postnatal exercise classes, plus beginner and improver salsa courses.
The business has also set up on-line and those logging on to www.the-warehouse.org.uk can get all the lowdown on the Warehouse's activities.
Throughout the summer, Jayne and Cath have been working alongside Bury Sports Development Unit teaching street dance and performing the routines at special shows. They have also been reaching out to local community centres and after-school clubs, helping them to introduce dance into their activities.
Cath Ellis, who manages the Warehouse with her sister, said: "With child obesity on the rise, and adults not far behind, we offer the perfect solution that fits in with a family's lifestyle."
This month the Warehouse has given new customers the chance to try the facilities free. For information about classes, ring 797 8420.
