A TEAM of intrepid riders from 3M Health Care, in Clitheroe, have used pedal power to raise money for the Christie Hospital cancer fund.
Nine 3M workers pedalled 140 miles of the Lancashire Cycleway in a bid to raise around £2,000 for the fund.
They joined five other cyclists in setting off from the company's Up Brooks site, and spent two days in the saddle to complete the cycleway's northern loop, with a stopover in Lancaster overnight.
Darren Jackson, a toolroom systems engineer who organised last week's event, said: "It was quite an effort, but we're hoping to raise around £2,000 for the cancer fund so the aching legs will all have been worth it."
Sponsored cycle rides have become a tradition among employees at the 3M site, which manufactures aerosol valves and components for the pharmaceutical industry.
The latest challenge was the 10th in 12 years, raising tens of thousands of pounds for charities across the North West.
