A SAMBA band and a cuddly mascot welcomed Blackpool families to a fun day with a serious purpose on Sunday.
Blackpool's Early Years and Childcare Team, accompanied by mascot, Charlie the Childcare Chimp, welcomed families to a special fun day at Blackpool Sports Centre.
The day gave families the chance to meet local providers of childcare and nursery education, as well as featuring arts and crafts, dancing, football skills and entertainment from Punch and Judy and music from Park School Band.
