I THINK Mr Stirton (LET, October 11) is quite right regarding British Summer Time. I have yet to meet anyone who says 'Oh, goodie, the clocks are going back'.
At least in the morning it is lighter every minute that passes. Travelling conditions have changed beyond belief since this was started and, without the hour back, many people would get home in the evening before dark, which would probably be safer both for motorists and pedestrians.
