WELL done Coun Roy Davies for trying to get security spy holes for elderly residents in his neighbourhood.
It's good to see a councillor out trying to help the people who elected him (LET, October 26).
But no wonder the funding has all gone when someone is charging £350-£400 to fit them.
If you can get hold of the actual spy holes, I've got a drill and I'll do it for nothing. I'm no joiner and have never installed one but from what I can see all you have to do is drill a hole in the door then push the thing in. It's not rocket science.
