PRESTWICH HEYS 4 WILMSLOW ALBION 0: A superb Carl Lomax hat-trick and another goal from Abbid Uddin, his eighth of the season, secured three more points for the Heys, as they ran out 4-0 winners over bottom club Wilmslow Albion.

Two changes were made to the team that won at Breightmet the previous week, with Slater and Price coming in for the unavailable O'Brien and K.Kavanagh, with Woodcock, Cunningham and Hoolichan promoted from the reserves.

Marcus Dydyna found himself in acres of space down the right hand side and delivered a perfect cross into the box, where Uddin flicked it into the top corner of Harper's net to give Heys the lead, with the quickest goal 56 seconds seen at Sandgate Road for many a year.

Up aganst a poor Wilmslow side who have relegation written all over them, Heys were expected to score a hatfull. But it was not until the 28th minute that the second goal arrived.

Carl Lomax lit the game up with an outstanding piece of skill, drilling the ball past the Wilmslow keeper to make it 2-0.

Uddin and Coleridge then brought good saves out of Harper, while at the back Tommy Allen, Dydyna, Doran, Walters and Slater were rarely troubled, so it was a very comfortable 2-0 lead that Heys took into the half time break.

The second half began with Heys keeper Tommy Allen leaving his goal to go on a mazy run, taking on two of the Wilmslow forwards.

Then, from one of his clearances the ball fell to John Rice in the centre of the park, and he delivered a excellent through-ball for Lomax to run onto and drive into the bottom corner, to extend Heys lead to 3-0 in the 58th minute.

With the win secure substitutes Hoolichan, Woodcock and claiming his second hat-trick of the season and taking his goals tally to 18.

In the last 20 minutes Lomax hit the bar twice from free-kicks and Hoolichan had an excellent strike cleared off the line.
