A MAN who was allegedly set on fire as he slept in a bus shelter was released from hospital to spend Christmas at home.
Matthew Kitchen (41) suffered burns to his face and chest in the incident on Bury Road, Radcliffe, on October 3.
Doctors at Wythenshawe Hospital agreed that the father-of-one could be allowed back to his home in Catterick Drive, Little Lever, for the festive celebrations. He has endured nearly two months of treatment for 26 per cent burns to his body, undergoing a series of skin grafts.
Two teenagers have been charged with assault in connection with the incident.
