I CAN'T think why taxi drivers in Bury should publicly protest about a traffic warden who issued a ticket to a driver who had parked with half his taxi on double yellow lines (Bury Times, December 14). No-one can just park where they want to. The traffic warden was only doing his/her job.
There looks to be quite a lot of parking spaces for taxis in Bury and far more than a few years ago. Even people who have "disabled" cards have to park carefully and not park where they cause an obstruction.
Everyone must abide by the rules so don't moan about the traffic wardens; just let them do their job, and if anyone parks on yellow lines it is their own fault.
So, in future, check before you park.
