MO Camara is backing old pal Ade Akinbiyi to come back with a bang and give Burnley a much-needed goals boost.

The striker, a former team-mate of Camara's when they were at Wolves, is set to be unleashed on Sheffield United on Saturday after serving his three-game suspension.

It came for his sending off less than three minutes into his debut against Sunderland, but Camara knows Akinbiyi well enough to predict he can recover from his false start.

"Ade is exactly the player we needed," said Camara. "I know him well from playing with him at Wolves for four months after he moved from Bristol City.

"He will be a very good player. He is strong and quick and with the right sort of service he will score goals.

"Every team we have played has known they've been in a tough game and not too many have outplayed us. But we haven't been scoring too many goals so hopefully Ade can help."

The Coca Cola Championship clash at Bramall Lane is given added spice for Akinbiyi as he turned down Sheffield United to make his £600,000 move to Turf Moor

last month, a decision which angered Blades boss Neil Warnock.

Akinbiyi will also be keen to make an impact following his ill-fated substitute appearance in the 2-0 home defeat to Sunderland.

He has been missing for two weeks since then and will be out of action for a further fortnight following Saturday's game as there is an Easter break.

Then there are two home games against Watford and West Ham before Burnley go to Gillingham to meet former boss Stan Ternent on April 9.

Tickets for the game will go on general sale on Tuesday, March 29, costing £10 adults, £8 seniors and NUS Card Holders, £7 under 18s and £5 under 12s.

Tickets for season ticket holders, Foundation members and shareholders have been available since yesterday. Foundation members must apply via the Foundation manager and shareholders through secretary Cathy Pickup.

Former Burnley defender Arthur Gnohere has been sacked by Queens Park Rangers.

The 26-year-old Frenchman had his contract terminated after a series of breaches of club discipline.

He left Turf Moor for Rangers a year ago and helped them to promotion to the Championship in the final months of last season but has only played four times this term.

Rangers have said they will continue to assist him in his recovery from a knee injury, while Gnohere has lodged an appeal with the board of the Football League.
