AMATEUR footballers are kicking off a 12-hour football marathon in Bury on Saturday to raise money for Comic and Sport Relief.
The marathon, at Castle Leisure Centre in Bolton Street, will start at 5am and finish at 5pm. Staff from Bury Council's Sports Development will be playing a variety of teams throughout the day dressed as superheroes and cartoon characters.
Any five-a-side teams wanting to take part are asked to call Robin Philp on 0161 253 5893 or 0776 613 7687.
