RAMSBOTTO,ased Clock Creative has scooped a top industry accolade at The Big Chip Awards - region's annual awards for companies excelling in the use of IT and digital technology.

The multi-service agency beat off stiff competition from across the north west to win the category for Best E-Commerce Project, for its innovative wesite www.gluegunsdirect.com designed for adhesive consultancy The Kenyon Group in Oldham.

The brief for Clock Creative, located in Square Street, was to design a website which could provide an on-line shopping and catalogue service, act as a resource tool, raise the company profile and attract new business.

As a result of the new site, nine per cent of all enquiries and orders are now generated through the website and the company saw turnover increase by 60 per cent and gained valuable new customers.

Ann Rimmer, managing director at Clock Creative said: "As an agency, it's important for us to have an in-depth knowledge of our clients in order for us to produce the best results. The whole team worked really hard to come up with a website which was creative yet functional."

"We are delighted to have been recognised for our achievements."

Organised by Manchester Digital, the trade association for the region's digital sector, the annual Big Chip Awards are now in their seventh year.

Clock Creative's success came at the same time as the company officially opened its new Ramsbottom premises and celebrated six years of business.

The company offers a range of services including everything from brochure design, PR, advertising, direct mail, website design, corporate identity and point of sale.
