AFTER demolishing London Welsh, Sedgley player-coach Tim Fourie can't wait for the trip to Edge Hall Road to take on Lancashire rivals and relegation favourites, Orrell.

However, he will have to wait another week, as the final weekend of the Six Nations Championship means a blank day on the National One calendar.

"We had a good win against London Welsh, we are all upbeat and excited and we can't wait for Orrell, it's just a pity it's not tomorrow (Saturday)," he said.

"The first team subs will all get a run out in the seconds, who play Doncaster, along with Danny McGee, who has asked to play to improve his fitness and sharpness.

"After coming back from a broken leg and playing as well as he did against Welsh, it says a lot for the attitude of the guy that he wants to play as much as possible.

"The game against Welsh was his league debut and he did very well alongside Carlos Hassan in the centres, while Ian Voortman was just as good on the wing.

"He put in a couple of good tackles and ran well with the ball, although no one doubts Richard Welding is the better winger but he was injured and unavailable.

"The team did so well against Welsh that if I can I don't really want to make any changes.

"I don't know whether Jimmy Naylor is going to be fit or not. He really needs to make himself available for the 2s to show he is fit, otherwise he may have to wait his turn again because by the time the Orrell game comes around he will not have played for two weeks."

Continuing along the road to recovery is prop Gareth 'Tank' Roberts, who will be on the bench for the 2s' game.

"Everyone is pleased for him," said Fourie: "He is another guy who has worked at regaining his fitness since the day he suffered his injury."
