YOUNGSTERS will be kept on their toes with a new Irish dance class in Prestwich.

The classes will be held at Our Lady of Grace parish hall in Fairfax Road on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm.

Prestwich tutor Carrie OBrien will be at the helm and she is hoping to attract students of all ages and ability.

She said: "Irish dancing is an excellent way to exercise and meet friends. It also gives people a taste of Irish culture. No experience is necessary and both boys and girls are welcome from age five upwards."

Carrie, who lives off Heywood Road, has been dancing since the age of six and is a former pupil of the Morgan School of Irish Dancing.

She is an All Ireland Champion and came second in the world in 2000 as well as winning the British National Championships three or four times.
