POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 19-year-old man lost teeth and split his tongue during an assault in Leigh.
The teenager was found collapsed in Wigan Road after the attack at 4.20am on Saturday.
Detectives want to trace a man seen running away from the scene towards Shelley Street.
He was white, in his 30s, with short, blond hair and was wearing a light top and blue jeans. Anyone with information should call Leigh CID on 0161 856 7254.
